The entire HGI team would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, peaceful holidays, and a bright and healthy new year 2021!

We have been through an exceptional year, with many challenges due to the Corona pandemic. But it turned out that science is not limited to a specific location: Excellent research results could also be generated from the home office, as numerous works<https://hgi.rub.de/en/news/newsarchiv/hgi/best-paper-award-for-hgi-scientists-at-the-crypto> of HGI researchers show. New online formats, such as the CASA Distinguished Lectures<https://casa.rub.de/en/news/distinguished-lectures>, have enabled scientific discourse with international guests. Furthermore, education and supervision<https://hgi.rub.de/en/news/newsarchiv/hgi/casa-remote-internship> of IT security students in Bochum have been guaranteed thanks to the fast digitization of teaching.

However, despite these "digital" successes, we hope to meet our colleagues, students, and partners in person again in 2021. We are looking forward to new and innovative projects in partnership with you.

Our office will be available again from 04.01.2021.
